Terms of Use — Send Planning
What Send Planning is
Send Planning is an iOS app for building your team's schedule and getting it to the team: shifts, conflict warnings, hours and costs, and one message per worker. It is made for micro-teams — restaurants, shops, cafés and any small business with shifts to organise — and it is used by the person who runs the team. It runs on your device: there is no account with us, no Alpine Lynx server holding your data, and nothing is ever sent without you asking for it.
Accepting these terms
By downloading or using Send Planning, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. If you use it for a company, you confirm that you may accept these terms on that company's behalf.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Send Planning on the Apple devices you control, for yourself and for your own business. The app, its name and its design stay ours. Don't reverse-engineer it, rent it, resell it or redistribute it outside the App Store.
Acceptable use
Use Send Planning to organise real work for a team you actually run. Don't use it for anything unlawful, don't use it to pass yourself off as someone else, and don't try to break, overload or work around the app's limits. What you do with the app has to comply with the law that applies to you — including labour law and data protection law.
Your data and your team's data
Everything you enter — names, contact details, shifts, sites, rates, history — is stored on your device and, if you use it, in your own iCloud. It stays yours. You are the one responsible for the data you hold about other people: for having a proper reason to hold it, for keeping it accurate, and for handling it under the law that applies to you (in Switzerland, the revDSG). And because the data lives on your device, only you can back it up — and only you can lose it if the device is lost, reset or damaged.
Sending schedules from your own email account
Send Planning can send schedules by email through your own email account, so your team receives the message from you and not from us. It is optional, you set it up yourself, and you can disconnect it at any time.
- How it connects. Either with an app password you create at your email provider (SMTP), or by connecting your own Google account. The app password and the connection tokens are stored only in your device's Keychain.
- Nothing goes out unless you tell it to. Either you tap send, or you turned on automatic sending and set the day and time yourself for the schedule to go out by email. The app never picks the time or the recipients on its own: it applies your rules, sends one message per worker, and you can turn automatic sending off whenever you like.
- Your own team only. You agree to use sending only for schedules and work messages to the people on your team, whom you have a legitimate reason to contact. No mailing lists, no marketing, no spam — and always within the law that applies to you.
- Your provider's rules apply. Messages go from your device straight to your email provider and travel under that provider's terms and privacy policy. There is no Alpine Lynx server in between and we never see them. If your provider limits or blocks your sending, that is between you and them.
Subscription and payments
Send Planning has a free tier and a paid subscription. There's a monthly plan and an annual plan, both with a 14-day free trial. It is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's Media Services Terms: the price shown in the App Store is the one that applies, and renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled in your Apple account settings — cancel there before the trial or the current period ends to avoid the next charge. We never charge you directly and never see your payment details.
No warranties
Send Planning is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to make it correct and reliable, but we don't promise that it will be free of errors or interruptions, that it will fit a particular purpose, or that a message will always arrive — delivery depends on your device, your connection and your email provider. And because your data lives on your device, we cannot protect you against a device that is lost, stolen, reset or damaged: back it up regularly.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Swiss law, Alpine Lynx is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses arising from data you entered incorrectly, a device you didn't back up, a message your email provider didn't deliver, or decisions you took about shifts, hours or pay. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The new version will be published on this page with a new effective date; material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.
